Nimbus Angels

Nimbus Angels
Wet with the frond of cuneiform tracing white vernacular like lunar node, a crooked jaw of trial,
baying maw of incineration like the crest of bat wings aping rising flame. Taking tiny soldiers
row by row off the bar and watching them parachuting into the hovel of ire, snaking with
emerald guns that won’t explode. Watch all that friendly fire from the back, sides, front, like a
star in an interminable black milky sky reflecting back a vision of your past life unto these
present days, as though you were a walking kaleidoscope of numbers, murmuring to yourself
calculations of estrangement and punch-drunk arias, so many nomadic prophets and nimbus
angels passed by on the streets without a second glance as though rivers were making a pact with
something called blindness.
